Verona Half Marathon November 2023
Race Report

As an avid trail runner, I am beyond excited to showcase my latest film, Elevate, which premiered at the 2024 Trail Running Run the Alps Online Festival.

This exhilarating event brought together trail runners from all over the world to celebrate the beauty and challenge of this incredible sport. Elevate is a film that captures the essence of trail running and the stunning landscapes in which it takes place. It showcases the raw athleticism and mental resilience required to conquer gruelling terrains and push oneself to the limit. From the jagged peaks of the Alps to the rugged trails of the Dolomites, the film takes the viewer on a journey through some of the most breathtaking locations trail running offers.

The Trail Running Run the Alps Online Festival is the perfect platform to showcase this film, as it celebrates all things trail running. The festival brings together runners of all levels, from beginners to elite athletes, to share their passion for this sport and learn from one another. The online format of the festival allows participants to connect with others from all over the world, making it a truly global event. I am honoured to have had the opportunity to premiere Elevate at such a prestigious event. I hope the film inspires others to take up trail running and explore the natural beauty surrounding us.

I recently raced in the Verona Half Marathon in the beautiful city of Verona, Italy. It was a great honour, as I traveled from the UK to participate in this exciting event.

The race was challenging, but I pushed myself to the limit, and I was able to complete it with a personal best time of 70:28. This placed me 1st in my category and 7th overall. Although I was just 58 seconds behind 2nd place, I'm thrilled with my performance, and it's a great achievement for me.

The Verona Half Marathon was an incredible experience. The course was challenging, but the stunning views of Verona made it all worth it. The spectators were also incredibly supportive, which helped keep me motivated throughout the race.

Representing my running club, HY Runners, abroad was also a great honour. Seeing so many runners from across Europe competing in such a beautiful location was amazing.

And, of course, I can't talk about my trip to Verona without mentioning the incredible pizza! Italy is known for its amazing cuisine, and the pizza in Verona certainly did not disappoint.
